Nick K9s is a nonprofit founded as a legacy to our son and dear friend Nick K. who lost his life to addiction in 2016. As we researched the inclusion of therapy dogs during the process of recovery, it became undeniable that pet therapy can be particularly beneficial for long term healing & sobriety.

Our amazing team of therapy dogs and volunteers are committed to supporting vulnerable youth struggling with substance abuse, by providing them the opportunity to benefit from pet therapy - an empowering and healing experience which has proven to build a foundation for trust and ultimately contribute to sustained sobriety & recovery.

We facilitate and coordinate connections between certified therapy dogs and addiction recovery centers/sober living facilities, to allow struggling youth in our communities the opportunity to build trusting relationships with others, creating hope, healing & acceptance of themselves.
